South Surma Public Library has been set up by the South Surma Public Library Trust with a mission to strengthen our community through literacy and lifelong learning. We believe that people have a universal right to access information and knowledge.

Our aim is to provide library services and a learning environment which has been blessed with a scenic rural setting. We will improve our services using a growing digital platform, thus creating and developing a library culture in our local community, while also serving as a model library for rural Bangladesh.

We will engage with both the new generation as well as the older generation of learners and establish the foundations to bring people and education together in order to enrich their minds with knowledge.
